Member Info & Forms

River City Dancers (RCD) emphasize having fun. We aim to develop our dance skills but more importantly we want everyone to have fun. We hope you develop close friendships with members of our club and our visitors. We have a history of being a great dance club as well as a larger social network among club members. Some members have developed card groups, play golf, and vacation together.

Annual Club Activities May Include:

• Oregon Mid Winter Festival

• Oregon Summer Festival 

• Summer Club Picnic

• Beach Trip 

• And more fun activities including theme dances throughout the year 

RCD’s website is used to communicate about upcoming events.

RCD membership is open to all individuals who have completed mainstream dance or round dance lessons.

Member Application Process:

Application forms should be completed and submitted to a club officer for board consideration.  Checks for first quarter dues and badge fee should be made out to River City Dancers.

Membership Responsibilities 

• Kitchen & Door Committee: Members serve a minimum of three times each year on a Kitchen / Greeting Committee at monthly dances. Members donate refreshments for the break, help decorate for special events, greet dancers and guests, receive money at the door and clean the hall at the end of the dance. 

• Members are asked to serve on at least one standing committee or one special event during the year. Members are encouraged to attend quarterly membership meetings.

What is the RCD Dance Schedule?

• 2nd & 4th Saturdays of each month 

• 7:00 to 7:30 plus and pre-rounds

• 7:30 to 9:30 mainstream dance

• 9:30 to 10:00 break 

• We dance approximately 22 dances per year
